  23. My mom always made a fruit salad from the Mike Roy cookbook and called it 'Christmas Salad". It is my favorite holiday dessert, ever.

    I live in Italy and we have several yummy desserts for Xmas.
    I don't like too much the traditional panettone or pandoro, but I like to eat torrone, dates and sicilian pastries made with almonds (paste di mandorla).

    Picking a favorite is tough... but I'm a pie gal at heart. Pumpkin, pecan, apple... whatever. As long as there's real whipped cream (pumpkin or pecan) or some sharp cheddar (apple) on hand, I'm in heaven.
